Surrey County Council order 2000 copies of My Daddy Is A Soldier to give to every childminder and nursery setting in Surrey as a part of the book box they give out in June. They have also pre-ordered 2000 copies of the latest book from Gerry Waters - My Mummy Is A Solider - which is about to go to print.

March 2009: Kevan Jones MP met Gerry Waters, author of My Daddy Is A Soldier and her granddaughter Shay on a visit to JHQ Germany. Kevan is the Undersecretary of State for Defence and Minister for Veterans.
